Thriving with Mission Australia

We designed a curriculum in collaboration with Mission Australia to support newly arrived refugees with complex needs and children at risk of mental illness.

The students who participated were from a school in a low socio-economic area. They had challenging social, emotional, and learning needs and a complex home life. Our program also took great care to understand the neuropsychological needs of the kids who experienced trauma in early life and how it manifested in their adolescence. So, we made sure to deliver our program with empathy and flexibility.

Feedback from Mission Australia and Headspace showed that 80-90% of the 134 participants learnt practical mental health skills from our program.
